Title Screen: Title Menu: New Instruction

Opens a blank page in the editor so that you can create a new document from scratch. Your task will be easier if you open and existing document first, then cut and paste from that document into the new one. That way, the formatting will be preserved. You can then delete the unwanted text and replace it with your own. See the comments in "Windows Menu" and "Editing Tips" section for more information on how to do this.

NEW TOPIC TEMPLATES

To facilitate the creation of new instruction topics, we have provided you with a template in English and Spanish for each of the instruction categories. This will provide type fonts and sizes and formatting that is consistent with other Exit-Writer instruction documents. Templates can be found in the Title List as:

Template: Illness/Injury

,Template: Medication

.Template: Treatment & Misc.

To use a template, turn Manager Mode. Be sure that the User Title List is displayed. (Change this from File Menu|Settings.) Locate the template and open it (Title Menu | Edit Instruction). From the Edit Screen, select Edit Menu| Select All; Edit Menu| Copy. Hit the Exit button to close the template

Title Menu | New Instruction (this opens a blank document)

Edit Menu| Paste

This pastes the template into the new document. Now you can add the text you desire.
