Rx - Writer Feature
INTRODUCTION to RX-WRITER
Rx-Writer, available in the standard version of Exit-Writer, is a powerful feature of the Exit-Writer program that lets you create legible and accurate prescriptions quickly. The
most common method for prescribing any given drug is the default settings.
You can change the default settings from Manager Mode. You may add to or remove from the prescription data that we provide. However, you cannot edit the original
data the we provide.
When you write a prescription, you can add the associated drug instruction to
the print list automatically.
You have the option to allow or prevent users from creating prescriptions for
drugs that are not on the drug list. (See Drug Lockout setting in the File Menu
| Settings Rx tab.)
There are SIX screens that comprise the Rx-Writer. The first screen you see
when you hit the RX button is the Rx-Create Screen. This is the screen that all
users will access when writing a prescription. The other five screens are
used only for editing the Rx data. See the related topics below for information
on these six screens.
