Rx - Edit Drug Name

From the Title Screen, select Setup | Manager Mode and enter your password. Now click on the Rx button to enter the Rx-Writer. You now see the EDIT buttons below the Drug, Dose, Sig, Duration and Disp boxes. Click on the Edit button below the Drug box.

UPPER HALF OF SCREEN

From this screen you can add new data or remove prescription data that has been included in the distribution copy. You cannot modify original drug data. Therefore, the Edit button will not be active unless you have selected a drug name that you have added yourself.

Available Drugs

Select a Drug using the scroll bar, or by typing the first few letters of the Drug name while the Available box is active (click on it with mouse to make it active). Move the selected item to the Current box (right side of screen) by hitting the {Enter} key or left-clicking on the right-arrow button (between boxes).

Add

This button takes you to the lower half of the screen to add new drugs.

Edit

This button will let you edit the current selection.

Delete

This button deletes the current selection.

Exit

This button returns to the Create Screen.

LOWER HALF OF SCREEN

Data in the lower half of screen can be edited only if the drug has been added by the user. Originally supplied drug data cannot be edited.

Edit Generic Drug Name

This field shows the drug being added or edited. This is typically the generic drug name. However, if only a Brand name for this drug is used, then that will appear here.

Linked Instruction Title

This is a pull-down box and shows all drug titles from the Title Screen If you are adding a new drug to the Rx drug list and you have already created an instruction document for it, select that document from this menu.

Brand Name

To add a brand name for a generic drug, click on Add. Enter the name in "Edit Brand Name" box and hit {Enter} or the Save button. Use the Edit button to edit an existing brand name. Del button deletes a highlighted brand name. The Brand-Cancel button leaves the Brand section and returns to the Generic Drug editing area. Use the Save button to save your work and return to the upper screen. Generic-Cancel button will ignore any changes made in the lower screen.
