Rx-Writer Edit "Dose"

From the Title Screen, select Setup | Manager Mode and enter your password. Now click on the Rx button to enter the Rx-Writer. You now see the EDIT buttons below the Drug, Dose, Sig, Duration and Disp boxes. Click on the Edit button below the Dose box.

UPPER HALF OF SCREEN

From this screen you can add new data or remove prescription data that has been included in the distribution copy. You cannot modify original drug data. Therefore, the Edit button will not be active unless you have selected a dose form that you have added yourself.

Available Doses

Select a Dose using the scroll bar, or by typing the first few letters of the Dose while the Available box is active (click on it with mouse to make it active). Move the selected item to the Current box (right side of screen) by hitting the {Enter} key or left-clicking on the right-arrow button (between boxes).

Add

This button takes you to the lower half of the screen to add a new dose to the Available Dose box.

Edit

This button will let you edit the current selection.

Delete

This button deletes the current selection.

Doses for Current Drug

Double click on any Available Dose to add it to the Current Drug box. The doses appearing here will be displayed on the Create Screen, in the same order shown on this screen. Add several doses, and use the Vertical Adjust arrows to change vertical positioning. The importance of this is that the top dose is the one which appears as the default setting in the upper box on the Create Screen.

OK

This button accepts changes on this screen and returns to the Create Screen.

Exit

This button returns to the Create Screen and aborts any changes made.

LOWER HALF OF SCREEN

Data in the lower half of screen can be edited only if the drug has been added by the user. Originally supplied drug data cannot be edited.

Dose to Edit

Clicking on the Add or Edit button will move the cursor to this box to permit creating a new dose or editing an existing one.

Save

This saves any addition or edit to the Available Dose list and also adds it to the Current Drug box.

Cancel

This returns the cursor to the Available Dose box and aborts any unsaved changes.
