Misc.: Copying User Data
Purpose: To duplicate user modifications to Exit-Writer on one machine to a newly
installed copy of Exit-Writer on another machine.
User modifications may include
- Attending List
- Referral List
- Edits and additions to the Instruction Documents
- Changes to the Drug database
All of this data is stored in two locations:
The database file called User.mdb.
The files in the directory \EWWIN\User\User_Tit\
- Any new instruction file added by you will have a left bracket, { , in front of the
file name (e.g., "{leprosy.eng").
- Any instruction file that was modified by you will not have a left bracket, {, in front of the file name (e.g., "ankle_sp.eng")
Procedure for copying User changes and additions from one computer to another.
For copying files from one computer to another on the same network, use
Windows Explorer or similar program to drag and drop the following files to the EWWIN
directory on the new machine.
Ewwin\Data\User.MDB
Ewwin\User\User_tit\*.*
NOTE: The changes will not be visible in the new Exit-Writer program unless you
are viewing the User Tittle List. The Original Title List will only show the
original set of instructions distributed with the product. You can change Title
Lists with the File Menu | Settings feature.
