File Menu: Settings: Fax Tab
The program is shipped with the Fax Feature turned OFF. To enable this
feature, go to File Menu|Settings|Fax tab. Remove the check from Disable Fax. By checking the box Auto Select
Referrals, all Referral Sources will be checked on the Custom Screen. This means that
a fax will be sent to that Referral if there is a fax number in the Referral
List.
The File Settings Window is accessed from the File Menu|Settings|Rx Tab and
contains the following features.
# of Retries: This indicates how many times the fax software will retry the number if it
encounters a busy signal.
Retry Interval: indicates how long the fax software will wait between retries.
Dial Prefix: If you must dial a 9 to get an outside line, this is where you indicate that.
'From' Cover Page Info: The first three lines are automatically inserted for you. You may modify any
of these fields.
Comments: This is the line that will appear just above the list of discharge topics
printed for your patient. You may edit this wording.
Modem 1
Brand: This contains several specific modems. All other modem brands should work with
the Default setting.
Init String: The Init string is associated with speicif modems selected in the Brand box.
Init strings can be modified using the Override button.
Com Port: This is the port that your modem is located on.
Auto Config:– this feature will search for the port that your modem is located on.
Override Auto: This feature will allow you to select a Com Port manually in the event that
Auto Config cannot locate the correct port for you.
Modem 2
This feature is used only if you have two modems and two telephone lines in
your computer. This is useful if you are sending a lot of faxes and your fax log
is getting backed up. By having two modems enabled you can send to the next
available modem. We recommend getting the system to work with one modem first
before enabling a second modem.
NOTE: To disable any modem, select the blank line in the Brand drop down menu.
