Custom Screen: Overview
OVERVIEW
The Custom Screen contains two types of fields:
- WHITE FIELDS permit free-text entry. Right-clicking while the mouse is on a
white field will open a pop-up menu with several convenient options.
- BLUE FIELDS are not free-text fields, but represent links to an Auxiliary
List. Only names that already exist in the list can be entered here.
Right-clicking while the cursor is on a colored field will open a pop-up menu
with several convenient options. If Manager Mode is on, additional choices
will appear:

Clear Entry
Clear All Fields
Cut
Copy
Paste
Moving Between Fields
Use the {Tab}, {Enter} and {Down Arrow} keys to move to the next field.
NOTE: In Windows NT, you may not be able to see the cursor when it is active in a
blue field. See Troubleshooting section.
Clearing Fields
To clear a SINGLE field, left-click on the field to be cleared to place the
cursor there. Then click on the Clear Field button at the bottom of the screen.
To clear ALL fields, select "Edit Menu: Clear All Fields"
Special Advice Field
Once in this field, you may enter free text from the keyboard and/or insert
phrases from the Phrase List.This is the place to indicate special follow-up and
home care directions that apply the current patient.
Special Advice Template
If this feature is enabled as the default setting, there will be an X in the
checkbox next to the word ON adjacent to the Special Advice Template. If you
want to turn it off for the current print session, uncheck this box. The fields
will gray-out. See Link below.
