David Campell, Founder
David Campell, MD, FACEP, is a practicing Board Certified
Emergency Physician with over 20 years of clinical experience in
this field. Dr. Campell has taught Emergency Medicine as an
Assistant Professor on the full-time faculty at Stanford
University School of Medicine, and as an Assistant Clinical
Professor with the University of California San Francisco. He
has been involved in the development of medical software
applications since 1978 including projects for NASA and
Microsoft.
Dr. Campell founded Exit-Writer in 1984 to pursue a solution to
the cumbersome patient discharge process in the emergency
department setting. While continuing to practice emergency
medicine, he has developed, refined and marketed Exit-Writer over the years since its launch in 1990, making it an
industry leader in patient discharge instructions.
Thomas Bayless, Chief Operating Officer
Thomas Bayless brings more than 30 years of executive operations, sales and
marketing experience from companies including SBC, Pacific Bell and Westwave Communications.
Before Exit-Writer he served as Vice President of Sales at software
start-up Westwave Communications, where he led the company’s
sales of its softswitch product. Westwave was purchased by
Alcatel.
During his year career at SBC and Pacific Bell he held
various leadership positions including Sales Vice President for
the Internet Service Provider where he led a
sales organization of 200+ sales professionals with
annual revenues of more than 600 Million. He also held
executive positions in Marketing, Operations and Customer
Service.
As Exit-Writer Chief Operating Officer, he is
responsible all Exit-Writer operations
including Marketing, Sales, Business Development and Customer
Service. Exit-Writer is the industry leading provider
of Patient Discharge Instructions.
